TotalEnergies is developing Springwater Solar, an up to 155 MW facility that is expected to generate enough energy to power up to 32,000 homes per year.  The project is situated in Madison and Franklin Counties, adjacent to existing transmission lines on remote private land, the location is highly suitable for a solar energy project.

Ohio Power Siting Board Certificate

Springwater Solar, LLC has received a certificate from the Ohio Power Siting Board to construct and operate up to 155 megawatt solar-powered generation facility in Madison and Franklin Counties, Ohio.  It is anticipated that construction of the project will begin around December 1st, 2025 and that the facility will go into commercial operation in Q1 2027.

Construction Updates

Primarily site preparation work will be occurring in October and November with construction mobilization scheduled for December 1st, 2025. As of October 15th, 2025, noxious weed spraying has been completed, mowing is in progress and estimated to finish next week, and seeding will begin in the second half of October.
