Where Innovation Meets Impact

Our teams work across 14 states and 26 locations, including three flagship sites:

  • Port Arthur Refinery, Texas: A powerhouse of refining and chemical production, delivering energy and materials for today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges.
  • La Porte Polypropylene Plant & Technology Center, Texas: Home to one of the world’s largest polypropylene plants, supports a wide range of polypropylene applications, including packaging, textiles, automotive parts, lab equipment, and consumer goods.
  • Carville Plant Louisiana: The world’s largest combined styrene and polystyrene facility, now producing sustainably certified polystyrene from recycled materials.

Other TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. affiliates include Hutchinson with 160 years of experience in processing elastomers. It is a world leader in vibration control, fluid management and sealing technologies supplying the automotive and aerospace industries. 

Our ambition in the U.S. continues today with significant investments in the construction of a 1 million-ton-per-year ethane cracker project in Port Arthur, Texas, and of a new 625,000 ton-per-year Borstar® polyethylene unit in Bayport, Texas – through a Bayport Polymers LLC, a joint venture between TotalEnergies Petrochemicals & Refining USA, Inc. and Borealis. Our R&D and business teams in the U.S. are committed to the development of innovative and efficient solutions to tackle climate and environmental issues and meet our ambition to be a world-class player in the energy transition.
