TotalEnergies Social Engagement in the United States
Building Stronger Communities Through Volunteering
Our Foundation's Four Priority Areas
The TotalEnergies Foundation brings together citizenship and social engagement initiatives led every day by our sites, affiliates, and corporate foundation worldwide. Through this global program, TotalEnergies supports community development in the regions where we operate, working closely with local and international partners.
With a strong focus on young people, the Foundation’s four priority areas are:
- Road safety
- Climate, coastal areas, and oceans
- Youth inclusion and education
- Cultural dialogue and heritage
These initiatives reflect our ambition to become a responsible energy major and a trusted partner in our host communities.
"TotalEnergies is committed to the education and professional training for the most vulnerable young people."

Action! Employee Volunteering Program
Building Ties With Host Communities
Our employees play a key role in our social impact efforts. Launched in 2018, the Action! employee community volunteering program empowers employees to support causes close to where they work by donating up to three paid workdays per year to local initiatives.
These volunteering opportunities help advance TotalEnergies’ goal of driving positive local change. In 2025, nearly 100,000 employees worldwide participated in close to 14,000 citizenship initiatives through the Action! program.
Championing Civic Responsibility for Future Generations
To achieve our ambition of becoming a responsible energy major, TotalEnergies goes beyond business performance to actively support citizenship and community engagement initiatives in the regions where we operate. In 2017, we introduced a forward‑looking corporate giving strategy designed to empower young people and help them take an active role in shaping their future.
In the United States, we support organizations in our community. Our local partnerships include:
U.S. Employees Honored for Community Engagement
Houston Food Bank Partnership
For over 10 years, TotalEnergies has partnered with the Houston Food Bank, the largest food bank in the United States. As part of this partnership, many colleagues have participated in collecting and distributing food items in Texas through the Action! Program. In 2023, the initiative received the gold President's Volunteer Service Award, a civilian honor conferred by the President of the United States.
Working Together for Lasting Impact
By bringing together the talent, expertise, and commitment of all stakeholders, we believe new forms of community engagement and collaboration can emerge. This collective approach helps create a virtuous cycle of shared value and fosters meaningful social progress.
We carry out our mission alongside nonprofit organizations, public institutions, local authorities, and other companies active in the field. Our guiding principle is to work with communities, not for them.
Through this collaborative model, TotalEnergies contributes to addressing social challenges and, step by step, works with partners to serve the public interest and support sustainable development for future generations.
