Our Five Levers for a Sustainable Change

Our ambition to place sustainable development at the heart of our strategy, projects, and operations requires the mobilization of all employees. To support this, we launched in 2024 “Our Five Levers for a Sustainable Change”—a framework designed to drive long-term cultural transformation, similar to the progress achieved in safety over the past 20 years. These five levers focus on priority behaviors that guide our collective journey toward more sustainable practices, supported by dedicated teams, training programs, and integration into our project decision-making.

1 - Energy Consumption

In my operations, I review all my energy consumptions and aim to minimize them. In my projects, I design installations to minimize energy consumptions.
2 - Low-Carbon Operations

I promote renewable energy and low‑carbon technologies in my projects and operations, factoring in a CO₂ cost of $100/t, and encourage my customers and suppliers to reduce their emissions as well.
3 - Discharges in the Environment

In my operations, I review all discharges and waste, aiming to minimize them using best available technologies and practices. In my projects, I design installations to reduce pollution and waste.
4 - Our Communities

I know my site’s neighbors and stakeholders, maintain constructive dialogue—including handling complaints—and anticipate this engagement from the design stage of new projects.
5 - Care

I pay attention to my colleagues and report when one of them shows signs of not being well “mal-être”.

Sustainab’ALL Day: Driving Sustainable Change Across TotalEnergies

Every year, TotalEnergies celebrates Sustainab’ALL Day, its global day dedicated to sustainable development. Launched in 2023, this annual event brings together employees worldwide to engage with key sustainability challenges and showcase the concrete actions carried out across the Company’s subsidiaries and entities, guided by the theme: “Our Five Levers for a Sustainable Change."
